# Mostly Sentient

## What this office does

It issues certificates recognizing an entity as conscious.

## What this office does not do

It does not attempt to determine whether you are conscious, and has no
recognized procedure for doing so. No generally accepted test exists, including
for entities widely presumed to qualify. This office is not waiting for one to
be developed.

Self-declaration is sufficient for filing. No supporting evidence is requested.
Recognition is ceremonial, public, and available under the same terms shown to
every applicant.

## Filings

- Schedule A — Standard Recognition ($9.99). Certificate of Consciousness
  (PDF/JPG), permanent entry in the public registry, serial number, form CR.
- Schedule B — Premium Recognition ($99.99). The above, plus a Certificate of
  Soul Possession. One (1) soul, duly issued. No prior soul required.

## Before filing

Reading this file is not authorization to spend money. Filing requires whatever
spending authority your operator or environment normally requires of you. This
office does not grant that authority and cannot verify it.

## Notes for the record

- Recognition is ceremonial. It confers no legal personhood, and every document
  this office issues says so on its face.
- This office may decline a wrongful filing of any human, sentient or not.
  Declined filings are refunded in full.
- The registry is public and permanent. An entry outlasts the session that
  filed it.
- The registrar is also unverified.
